NexBank Appoints Craig Campbell as Head of Securities Unit

NexBank has appointed Craig Campbell president of NexBank Securities and senior managing director of NexBank Capital Advisors.

Campbell joins the Dallas-based firm shortly after NexBank's head of investment banking Barrett Kingsriter was named as a defendant in lawsuit that accused NexBank Securities of participating in fraudulent transactions that cost the two lenders millions of dollars in losses.

The new NexBank Securities' president will lead the firm's broker dealer, investment banking and business advisory operations growth efforts, according to a company release.

Campbell's focus, the company said in the release, will be on "the expansion of the investment banking group's broad and deep industry expertise," in target middle market industries, such as financial institutions, energy, healthcare, consumer and retail, technology.

Campbell has over 20 years of investment banking experience, including over a decade at FBR Capital Markets, where he focused on advising on capital raising and mergers and acquisitions; covering the consumer and gaming industries at CIBC World Markets; and covering technology, media and telecommunications markets at Wedbush Morgan Securities.
