N.Y. to Hold Hearing on Foreign-Bank Rules

NEW YORK - The New York State Banking Department said it would hold a public hearing Nov. 18 on ways to improve supervision of foreign banks.

The hearing is part of a broad review of foreign bank regulation announced in September.

The review will focus on standards of entry, forms of organization, examination and supervision, and exit and liquidation.
