Old Dominion Adds Former Banker, IT Experts to Board

Old Dominion National Bank in McLean, Va., has added four directors.

The $70 million-asset bank said in a press release that Thomas Dungan 3rd, Yong Li, Wendy Mitchell and Paul Zhu have joined its six directors.

Mitchell recently retired after a 34-year banking career that included serving in compliance and risk management leadership roles Virginia Commerce Bank in Arlington, Va.

Li works at a global business services, information technology and consulting firm. Zhu, a managing partner at Pender Professional Center in Fairfax, Va., has also held management positions at iTalk Global Communications, International Telecommunication Satellite Organization and Lockheed Martin Global Telecom.

Dungan is chief executive of Management Concepts, a training and performance improvement company, and president of Andover Investments, a holding company for investment activity in banking and real estate.

"Our new directors are key to our growth strategy in northern Virginia," Mark Merrill, the bank's president and chief executive, said in the release. "In addition to the capital and business acumen brought to the bank by these new board members, we believe their market knowledge and relationships provide Old Dominion with a true competitive advantage."
