Pacific Continental in Oregon Hires Ex-Tower Financial CFO

Pacific Continental in Eugene, Ore., has hired the former chief financial of Tower Financial in Indiana as its new CFO.

The $1.8 billion-asset company appointed Richard Sawyer CFO and said he will assume the position no later than Aug. 24. Sawyer was CFO of Tower Financial in Fort Wayne, Ind., from May 2007 to May 2014.

Most recently, Sawyer was vice president of administration at Lifeline Youth and Family Services, a Fort Wayne nonprofit that works with troubled youth. Pacific Continental was drawn to Sawyer because of his experience with nonprofits, CEO Roger Busse said in a news release.

Sawyer "provides great insight and counsel related to one of our key business niches — the nonprofit sector," Busse said.

Sawyer joined Lifeline after $12 billion-asset Old National Bancorp in Evansville, Ind., acquired Tower in 2014.

Sawyer succeeds Mick Reynolds, who in February announced his retirement.
