First Western Bancorp, a $1.4 billion-asset company in New Castle, Pa., has expanded its trust services to include mutual funds, annuities, and other retail investment products.
To steer the effort the company named Fred J. Liskowski president and chief executive of its First Western Trust Services unit. Mr. Liskowski, 48, joins the company from PaineWebber Inc., where he was an investment executive.
The company also named Samuel I. Haines Jr. executive vice president of trust services. Mr. Haines, 39, had been president and chief executive of the unit before the expansion, and he will continue to manage its trust and employee-benefit administration businesses.
