PNC Bank Corp Names Executive

PNC Bank Corp., Pittsburgh, promoted five executives to senior vice president.

Sherry DuCarme was named senior vice president in network services/technology and processing services. For the last two years she has been manager of network services. Ms. DuCarme joined PNC in 1981 as lead programmer and analyst in management information systems.

William T. McAndrew became senior vice president in technology and processing services/information technology services. Since 1995 he has been vice president and manager of information technology services. His responsibilities include data center operations, technical services, help desk, data base technologies, and technology acquisitions.

He joined the company in 1984 as a lead systems programmer.

John P. Ericksen was named senior vice president in security services and contracts and procurement. He is responsible for the management and implementation of information security, the identification and prevention of fraud, and procurement and records management.

Mr. Ericksen joined PNC in 1992 as manager of information security.

John J. Peters is president of PNC's education finance group and manages its nationwide education lending business.

Mr. Peters came to PNC Bank in 1995 from Household International, whose education lending business he managed. Earlier he worked for Citicorp, KPMG Peat Marwick, and LaSalle National Bank.

Chris Radford is in charge of Pittburgh, northwest Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Kentucky for PNC Brokerage. He joined the company in 1997, as vice president and market director for brokerage, from Union Bank of California, where he was vice president of investment services.
