Prosperity Bancshares Inc. agreed to acquire six Houston retail bank branches from Popular Inc.'s Banco Popular North America.
Prosperity will pay a premium of 10.1% for about $140 million in deposits, as well as purchase certain loans and other assets attributable to the branches.
All branch-based employees will be retained by Prosperity.
