Provident New York Bancorp in Montebello said in a shelf registration that it may raise up to $75 million through the sale of various securities.
The $3.1 billion-asset company said in the regulatory filing Friday that it may offer and sell debt securities, common and preferred stock, warrants and purchase contracts. The company may sell the securities to underwriters, through agents or directly to investors.
Provident said it may use the proceeds for general corporate purposes such as repayment of debt, capital expenditures, possible acquisitions and investments.
