Prudential Financial Inc. in Newark, N.J., said it had promoted Christine C. Marcks to president of its retirement division.
Ms. Marcks, who has worked at Prudential since 2005, oversaw the company's personal retirement services and retirement income businesses, the company said on Tuesday. She succeeds John Y. Kim, who resigned as head of the company's retirement business. He is to leave the company on Aug. 31.
Before joining Prudential, Ms. Marcks worked at ING Financial Services where she managed its IRA rollover and layout-annuity business.
