Prudential Savings Bank in Philadelphia has hired Douglas Smith to be its chief lending officer.
Smith started at the $518 million-asset subsidiary of Prudential Bancorp on Monday. He was chosen partly because of his familiarity with the company's market, Prudential president Joseph Corrato said in a news release late last week.
"He has more than 30 years of banking and credit experience and will be an invaluable addition to our efforts to grow and diversify our loan portfolio," Corrato said in the release. Smith most recently served as chief credit officer at Noah Bank in Elkins Park, Pa. He has also worked as a chief credit officer at Royal Bank America and chief lending officer at First Penn Bank,
