The U.S. unit of PricewaterhouseCoopers late Tuesday said it has hired Lisa Pavelka McAlister to manage the firm's services to private equity and alternative investment companies.
McAlister, who will be a managing director in the firm's capital markets and accounting advisory services group, joins from Bank of America's Merrill Lynch unit where she was senior vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of global private equity.
"Today's unpredictable economic environment continues to cause challenges for companies considering an IPO and other capital-raising activities," said Henri Leveque, leader of PwC's U.S. Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services group.
"With more than 20 years in financial management and working with premier financial services and private equity firms, Lisa has extensive experience with complex global transactions and will be an added asset for the practice," he added.
McAlister has also held senior financial roles with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., high-net worth family offices, as well as with numerous publicly-held and venture-backed companies spanning the healthcare, real estate and technology sectors.
