JPMorgan Chase & Co. hired Drago Rajkovic from Barclays PLC to lead technology mergers and acquisitions.
Rajkovic will remain based in San Francisco and will report to Chris Ventresca and Jim Woolery, JPMorgan Chase's co-heads of mergers and acquisitions, according to a memo. Tasha Pelio, a spokeswoman for JPMorgan Chase, confirmed the contents of the memo.
Rajkovic was most recently head of technology M&A at Barclays Capital, the investment banking unit of Barclays, where his clients included Nokia OYJ, Cisco Systems Inc., International Business Machines Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co., SAP AG, Symantec Corp., Motorola Solutions Inc. and Qualcomm Inc.
Before Barclays, Rajkovic spent most of his investment banking career at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch & Co., according to the memo. He was also a co-founder and chief operating officer of a financial services software startup, Chase Global Data & Research Inc., and worked as a management consultant with KPMG LLP in New York, according to the memo.
