Rates unchanged in Treasury bill sale.

WASHINGTON -- The Treasury sold $26.21 billion of 91-day and 182-day bills at unchanged rates yesterday. The three-months incurred an average rate of 4.92%, unchanged from the previous auction on Oct. 3. The six-months incurred a 5.34% rate, unchanged from the previous auction.

Coupon equivalents were 5.05% for the three-months and 5.57% for the six-months.

Tenders for the 91s totaled $52.4 billion, and the Treasury accepted $13.14 billion, including $1.45 billion of noncompetitive bids accepted at the average.

Tenders for the 182s totaled $48.12 billion, and the Treasury accepted $13.07 billion, including $1.19 billion of noncompetitive bids accepted at the average.
