Retail Money Funds' Assets Slid in Week

Assets in retail money market mutual funds fell to $562.23 billion during the week ending June 26, a decrease of $3.10 billion, according to the Investment Company Institute.

Overall, assets in money market mutual funds ended the week at $814.96 billion; a week before they stood at $814.60.

Taxable retail money market funds fell by $1.82 billion, finishing the week at $458.15 billion. Assets in tax-exempt retail funds slipped by $1.28 billion, to $104.07 billion.

Institutional money market funds gained in the week, adding $3.46 billion in assets to reach $252.74 billion. Taxable funds grew by $3.38 billion; to $224.99 billion; tax-exempt funds grew by $79.6 million, to $27.75 billion.
