Roszkowski Named President of Discover Bank

Discover Financial Services (DFS) announced Thursday that James Roszkowski has been named president of Discover Bank.

Roszkowski joined the credit card issuer last month following a 23-year stint at MBNA America, where he served as a senior executive vice president, Discover said in a news release.

Discover Bank, which is chartered in Delaware, offers savings accounts, money market accounts, and certificates of deposits online.

"Discover Bank has built an impressive reputation of exceptional customer service and paved the way to a convenient online banking experience," Roszkowski said in a statement. "Discover offers a comprehensive suite of banking services that continue to meet the changing needs of consumers."

Roszkowski will report to Carlos Minetti, president of consumer banking and operations at Discover, the company said.

Christina Favilla, the former president of Discover Bank, left the company in February for a position at GE Capital, according to her LinkedIn profile.
