Roundup: Ex-President of Irving's Holding Company Dead

MANHASSET, N.Y. - Wesley Lindow, former president of Charter New York Corp., a bank holding company that owned Irving Trust Co., died Wednesday evening at his home here.

He was 84 years old.

Mr. Lindow was chairman of Dorset Group, publishers of National Mortgage News, and founder of the company's predecessor newspaper, National Thrift News, in 1976.

He was head economic analyst for the Treasury Department during World War II and later served as a consultant to the secretary of the Treasury.
