S&T Bank in Pa. Opens Ohio Loan Office

S&T Bank in Indiana, Pa., has expanded its commercial loan business into northeast Ohio by opening an office in Akron.

The bank, a unit of $4.3 billion-asset S&T Bancorp (STBA), has hired three veteran Ohio commercial lenders to work out of the office, S&T said Monday.

Stephen Hendricks was named senior vice president of commercial lending and regional manager. He has more than three decades of experience in the banking and finance industry and has held leadership roles at various banks in the Akron and Cleveland area.

Jamie Taylor was appointed vice president of commercial lending and Steven Zickefoose was named senior vice president of commercial lending.

"These gentlemen will offer clients in the area a full array of products, services, and strategic lending solutions," Todd D. Brice, president and chief executive of S&T Bank, said in a news release. "They bring a combined depth and breadth of experience that will certainly benefit local businesses looking to grow their operations."

S&T, which has branches in 10 Pennsylvania counties, has been bulking up in the commercial lending area. It completed its purchase of Gateway Bank of Pennsylvania earlier this month, largely because of Gateway’s strong emphasis on commercial lending.
