S1 Corp. of Norcross, Ga., announced a loss of $4.3 million in the fourth quarter, compared to a profit of $9.9 million a year earlier.
Its revenue fell 12% to $52.5 million.
"Although our 2010 financial performance was impacted by the transition of our business model" and other issues, "the fundamentals of our core businesses were strong," said Johann Dreyer, S1's chief executive, in a press release. Dreyer said he expected a strong 2011 driven by increases in revenue backlog, sales bookings, and cash flow.
