S1 Touts Growing M-Banking Client Base

S1 Corp has attracted 10 financial services clients to its mobile banking solution that has built up feature sets including some advanced corporate mobility functions like B2B, positive pay and card management.

S1 says the clients include community, regional and national banks—such as Citizens Bank of Northern California and Pennsylvania-based Northwest Savings Bank—as well as payment processors and EFT networks in North America, Africa and the Middle East.  S1 Mobile is sold through the company’s Postilion and S1 Enterprise divisions.

With S1 Mobile, end-users are able to offer revenue-driving services like ACH-based payments, wire transfers, positive pay, payment approvals, and credit/debit/prepaid card management. It also handles more standard fare like balance queries, funds transfers and billpay.

“For financial institutions of all sizes, the strongest return-on-investment from the mobile channel will come from their ability to drive payments revenues from both the retail and business customer base,” said Virginia Garcia, senior research director of TowerGroup’s Cross-Industry practice, in a statement. “Support for a wide variety of payment types as well as the ability for consumers and businesses to conduct any type of transaction through any mobile device is essential for relevancy in the payments landscape of the future.”
