WASHINGTON The Senate Banking Committee is postponing its previously scheduled Thursday hearing with Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen.
The committee announced the delay late Wednesday afternoon ahead of a snowstorm that is expected to hit the D.C. metro area. It has yet to reschedule a new hearing with the new Fed chair, who assumed office less than two weeks ago.
Yellen was expected to present the Fed's semiannual monetary report to Congress. On Tuesday, she came before the House Financial Services, testifying on a variety of issues from the Fed's plan to unwind its stimulus program to the necessity for housing finance reform.
