Consumers may be cutting back on credit card use during the holiday period, but at least they may have more chances to personalize them before throwing them in locked drawers.
Serverside Group, a UK-based firm that provides personalization technology for credit/debit, prepaid and gift cards to major-issuer banks, is now fronting a reseller version of its service to processors, VARs, credit-union service organization, personalization bureaus and other aggregators to take custom-card templates to their issuing clients. The AllAboutMe PCS will feed revenue opportunities for those providers, who can tout to their clients the growing popularity for custom cards to which consumers can add personal photos or other favorite designs (taste and license permitting). The service is fully hosted by Serverside’s own facilities. “The thought behind AllAboutMe PCS is to open the Serverside network to organizations that have existing relationships with card issuers,” said Adam Elgar, president of Serverside Group, in a news release.
Serverside’s bank client base includes Capital One, UMB Financial, First National Bank of Omaha, Compass Bank, Zions Bancorporation and several European institutions like ING and RBS.
