Tech bytes: Harte-Hanks and Davox To Cooperate in Marketing

BILLERICA, Mass. - Harte-Hanks Data Technologies and Davox Corp. have agreed to a co-marketing arrangement.

As part of the deal, the companies' products will be integrated so they can be sold as complementary goods.

Harte-Hanks makes data base marketing systems. Davox, based in Westford, Mass., makes call management systems.

The products were used together for the first time at Dreyfus Corp. "By interfacing these two products, we created a closed circle," said Sri Gupta, manager of applications systems at Dreyfus. "We begin by modeling, then we define the segment and extract the leads using Harte-Hanks."

Harte-Hanks' segmenting and modeling products are designed to help banks and other companies uncover prospects and cross-sell their products.

Typical applications for Davox products include collections, telemarketing, customer service, and related activities.
