The House Financial Services Committee's capital markets subcommittee plans to vote today on a bill sponsored by the parent committee's chairman, Rep. Barney Frank, to extend and reform the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act.
On Wednesday, the committee is to hold a second hearing on financial services consumer protection issues with a focus on whether the current regulatory regime adequately addresses unfair and deceptive practices.
Also on Wednesday, the oversight and investigations subcommittee is to review the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act at a hearing. The oversight subcommittee is to meet again Friday to consider whether credit-based insurance scores are fair.
