The executive suite at Texan Bank in Sugar Land, Texas, has become a family affair.
The $80.7 million-asset bank recently named veteran banker Kenneth Koncaba Jr. chief executive officer, the Houston Business Journal
Koncaba's wife, Kristi, is Texan's president and chief operating officer, according to the publication.
She told the Business Journal her husband had been involved with the bank since its founding in 2007. "We can attribute a large part of our growth to Kenny," Kristi Koncaba was quoted as saying.
Kenneth Koncaba has served since March 2011 as a business development officer for the bank, according to LinkedIn. He is also a director at Friendswood Capital in Webster, Texas.
Texan Bank, which has two offices, is reported to be conducting a $24 million capital raise through Friendswood.
A spokeswoman for the bank did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
Kenneth Koncaba was president of First Community Bank in Houston for six-and-a half-years starting in January 2000, before becoming chief executive of San Antonio National Bank.
