Texas Gulf Bank Continues Overhaul

Texas Gulf Bank in Houston continued a management overhaul Sunday by rearranging several positions and naming Robert Greer as its chairman.

Greer, a 55-year banking veteran, joined the $343 million-asset bank last year. Texas Gulf named Richard Jochetz as its president, effective immediately, succeeding Jimmy Brown, who remains chief executive. Jochetz had been president of the Houston branch since joining the bank in 2008.

Greer has leverage as both a banker and regulator. He held senior-level executive and board posts at a handful of banks, including overseeing the Cullen Center Bank and Trust. He is also a former Texas bank examiner, a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and a member of the Consumer Advocacy Council to the Fed. He was also a president of the Texas Bankers Association.
