Totals for the 43.95 === Data Source: Data are provided by Sheshunoff Information Services Inc., Austin Texas. Data for 1993 have been restated for subsequent bank acquisitions made on a pooling of interests basis. Total consumer loans are the sum of home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card loans, and other consumer loans. Home mortgages are loans secured by 1-to-4 family residential properties, including first and second mortgages. Home equity loans are revolving open-ended loans secured by 1-to-4 family residential properties and extended under lines of credit. All other consumer loans are loans to individuals for household, family, and other personal expenditures. Included in this category are credit card loans (bank credit card extentions of credit plus special prearranged overdraft plans), auto loans, student loans, home improvement loans, and all other installment credit loans as well as single payment loans. As a % of total loans is the ratio of total consumer loans to total loans and leases, net of unearned income. American Banker, 1995.
