TotalBank in Miami has returned Jorge Rossell to the position of chief executive, after Luis de la Aguilera departed to take the same position at U.S. Century Bank in Doral, Fla.

Rossell was named CEO and president of the $2.8 billion-asset TotalBank on Monday, according to a news release. Rossell, who will also remain chairman, had been TotalBank's CEO from 2009 to 2014. He left the CEO role when TotalBank was acquired by Spain's Banco Popular Español.

The $909 million-asset U.S. Century named de la Aguilera its president and CEO on Tuesday, according to a news release. De la Aguilera's appointment will take effect on Monday. De la Aguilera had been with TotalBank for 15 years.

At U.S. Century, De la Aguilera will replace Carlos Davila, who will resign at the end of the year. Davila has been U.S. Century's CEO since 2012.

Separately, TotalBank promoted Maritza Jaime to chief credit officer, after previously managing credit administration and underwriting.
