TransUnion Ranks Among Tops in Identity Protection

TransUnion has been awarded the 2016 Javelin Identity Protection Leader in Resolution, the company announced. The award marks the second time the credit-reporting firm has been honored as a Javelin Mobile Banking Leader.

Javelin’s ninth annual Identity Protection Services Scorecard examined the health of the identity protection industry by evaluating 14 leading identity protection providers. All products offered by the providers were evaluated, with the highest-scoring ones being used for final evaluation. TransUnion's excellence in resolution was identified for its differentiating product offering in mobile fraud reporting and resolution assistance.

"Identity theft continues to grow as hackers become more and more sophisticated," said John Danaher, president of TransUnion Consumer Interactive. "At TransUnion, we strive to provide our customers with the solutions they need to mitigate risks. We are honored to be recognized as a leader in identity protection."

Javelin assessed TransUnion's performance in resolution by examining 19 features, including fraud insurance, ability to access resolution help, lost wallet assistance and specific fraud resolution assistance.

"In today's environment there are many risks and threats of cyber-attacks, and it is increasingly important to recognize the solutions to keep people's personal and financial information secure," said Al Pascual, research director and head of Fraud & Security.
