United Security Bancorp., Spokane, Wash., has named its president, Richard C. Emery, to succeed William C. "Bud" Dashiell as chief executive officer on July 1.
Mr. Dashiell will remain chairman of the company, which he has headed since it was formed in 1985.
Mr. Emery will remain president but relinquish his chief operating officer job. He joined the $347 million-asset company in November from Pacific One Bank, Kennewick, Wash., of which he was president and CEO. He founded its predecessor, American National Bank, in 1981, and sold it to First Hawaiian Corp. in 1996. The name was changed to Pacific One Bank last year.
Before forming American National, Mr. Emery was a vice president and branch manager at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Spokane.
