U.S. Still Taking Risk Plan Comments

Federal bank regulators Thursday said institutions have an extra two weeks to comment on proposed guidelines for limiting correspondent risk.

On Sept. 25, the agencies proposed methods for banks to limit their risk from other institutions, including steps to identify their level of correspondent risk, set correspondent concentration limits and conduct risk analyses of transactions with other institutions before they close.

Originally, comments were due Oct. 26, but the agencies said institutions will now have until Nov. 27.
