Visa Inc., the company that is being formed by merging most of the regional Visa card associations, has hired a merchant executive as its chief financial officer.
Byron Pollitt Jr., the chief financial officer of Gap Inc., will start his new job in mid-September, Visa said Wednesday. Visa, which plans to go public next year, also announced its board composition.
It consists of Joseph Saunders, the chairman and chief executive who was recruited in February to oversee the restructuring; 10 independent directors; and seven bankers.
