Wausau Financial to sell Cincinnati Bell's imaging.

In an attempt to attract community banks, Cincinnati Bell Information Systems Inc. gave Wausau Financial Systems Inc. the exclusive right to repackage and sell its image application software. The software will be sold with the NCR Series 3000, Unix-based computers, and the NCR 7780 image capture platform.

Based in Schofield, Wis., Wausau Financial Systems resells NCR products in the financial industry. Targeting small to midsize banks with less than $2 billion in assets, the company plans to incorporate these products into its Imageworks application group under the name ImageBanc 3000.

CBIS also signed a contract to provide a retail brokerage system to Bamett Technologies Inc., Jacksonville, Fla. Work has already started on the project, which is expected to be completed in the third quarter.

CBIS will provide Barnett Securities with the InvestSource System, which was jointly developed with National City Corp., Cleveland. The $28 billion-asset bank holding company has been using the system for two years. It uses client-server architecture and open-systems technology to accommodate software from a variety of vendors.

Barnett Technologies provides operating and information systems services for Barnett Banks Inc. and its affiliates.
