Webster CFO Given More Duties

Webster Financial Corp. in Waterbury, Conn., said it had given more responsibilities to its chief financial officer, Gerald Plush.

Plush was named vice chairman and chief operating officer at the company and Webster Bank, according to a Wednesday press release. The $17.8 billion-asset Webster Financial said Plush will remain CFO and chief risk officer. He previously held the title of senior executive vice president.

Plush still reports to James Smith, the company's chairman, president and chief executive.
