Wells Fargo Names Regional Head of Middle-Market Banking

Wells Fargo has named Monica Cole to head middle-market banking for six Midwestern states.

Cole, who has been with the San Francisco-based company for 22 years, will manage more than 350 employees in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. She was previously the bank's head of middle-market banking for Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and north Texas, the company said in a press release Monday.

Cole succeeds Laura Oberst, who is scheduled to take over as Wells' head of business banking at the end of the year.

Wells Fargo's middle-market banking team works mostly with privately held, family-owned businesses with annual sales of $20 million or greater.
