Westdeutsche Appoints Joint Chief for N. America

executive for North America for Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale, one of Germany's leading financial institutions. Mr. Koerner, a managing director and chief executive officer of Deutsche Industrie und Handelsbank, Berlin, since 1990, a subsidiary of Westdeutsche Landesbank, was previously a co-general manager of the bank's branch in Essen. He succeeds Horst Fuellenkemper, who is heading Westdeutsche Landesbank's U.K. operations. In his new position he joins John P. Garber, the other joint chief executive for North America.
