Wilmington Trust's Brokerage CEO Quits

The president and chief executive of Wilmington Brokerage Services has resigned, a company spokesman confirmed.

Mark C. Mathias resigned from Delaware's Wilmington Trust Co. discount brokerage on March 4, said spokesman Charles W. King.

James V. Scurria, an assistant vice president at the brokerage, has been named acting administration officer and has assumed Mr. Mathias' responsibilities. Mr. King said Wilmington has not found a permanent replacement for Mr. Mathias and is looking for a candidate internally and externally.

Mr. Mathias spent 10 years at Wilmington, the last seven of which he was at the helm of the discount brokerage.
