Wincor Nixdorf AG said it will provide BB&T Corp. with automated teller machines and services for up to 100 locations in North Carolina and Florida.

The ATM maker said the deal will provide the retail bank with touch-screen ATMs that will be equipped with Wincor Nixdorf's ProFlex multivendor ATM software. BB&T is based in Winston-Salem, N.C.
"In light of the bank's careful due diligence, we are pleased BB&T chose to expand its fleet with Wincor Nixdorf," said Alan Walsh, Wincor Nixdorf's head of U.S. banking.
Wincor Nixdorf, which is based in Paderborn, Germany, is trying to become a bigger player in the U.S. It also works with such major U.S. banks as JPMorgan Chase & Co. of New York and Wells Fargo & Co. of San Francisco.
