WSFS Financial in Delaware Names CFO

WSFS Financial in Wilmington, Del., has hired Kevin Thompson as chief financial officer.

Thompson, 42, will also be an executive vice president of the $5 billion-asset company, according to a press release Thursday. He succeeds Steve Fowl, who in the first quarter became CFO of the $3.2 billion-asset Seacoast Banking in Stuart, Fla.

Thompson most recently was senior vice president for corporate finance at the $58.4 billion-asset Zions Bancorp. Previously, he was CFO and treasurer at the $30.6 billion-asset American Express Centurion Bank. Both banks are in Salt Lake City.

Thompson, a 1998 graduate of Brigham Young University, also worked in Buenos Aires as a controller for Latin America at AgReserves Inc., a farm and ranch landowner affiliated with the Mormon Church.
