Alleged Sony Hacker Arrested

Cody Andrew Kretsinger was arrested in Arizona Tuesday for allegedly hacking Sony Corp.'s movie business in May, Wired.com's "Threat Level" reported Thursday.

Kretsinger is suspected to be a member of LulzSec, an offshoot of the "hacktivist" group Anonymous, the article said. Multiple people allegedly linked to Anonymous were arrested in July for allegedly participating in an attack on eBay Inc.'s PayPal.

Kretsinger faces one count of conspiracy and one of computer fraud, the article said. Five others were arrested in the U.K. and the Netherlands.

The breach of Sony Pictures Entertainment was one of many attacks on Sony units that began with a breach of the personal data of Sony's PlayStation Network, which has over 75 million users.
