Business Solutions Inc., a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association, is partnering with MasterCard Worldwide and TransCard LLC to launch a program to enable community banks to offer their customers MasterCard-branded prepaid products such as general-purpose reloadable payroll and gift cards.
TransCard will process the transactions.
Cardholders in the association’s Community Bank Prepaid Program will be able to use their mobile phones to pay bills, check balances and receive text messages when card transactions occur or there is a low account balance.
