As part of its overhaul plan for the assets it acquired of the United Arab Emirates subsidiary of Royal Bank of Scotland PLC, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Ltd. says it soon will start issuing new credit cards to former Royal Bank of Scotland cardholders.
The Abu Dhabi-based bank acquired the local retail banking business of Edinburgh, Scotland-based Royal Bank in October last year, including its credit card receivables.
Cardholders will receive their new Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank credit cards beginning Oct. 15, according to a notification on the bank’s website,
Customers holding multiple cards will receive one new card with the combined credit limit of the other cards. In addition, corresponding fees and charges applied to the new credit cards would supersede the cardholder’s existing fees and charges, the bank said.
