, President, Global Merchant Services as an Executive Officer of the Company, effective immediately. Mr. Glenn, who has worldwide responsibility for the merchant network of

, will join the Operating Committee which is responsible for setting the Company’s strategic direction and policies.

Global Merchant Services is a part of the Business-to-Business segment, led by

Ed Gilligan

, Vice Chairman of

. It is a merchant acquirer, processor and marketing partner for the millions of merchants around the world who accept the American Express Card. In 2007, the combined global Billed Business volume processed by the merchant network was

and took on additional responsibility for worldwide operations, pricing, marketing and strategy for the merchant network in 2005. He was named to his current role as head of the global merchant network in June of 2007. Prior to joining

, Mr. Glenn was President of Pepsi-Cola North America’s Food Service Division overseeing sales, marketing, operations, customer service and finance for the unit.
