Apple U
Duke University, the University of Alabama and the University of Oklahoma have added student IDs to Apple Wallet, supporting payments for on-campus purchases via Apple Pay.
The integration supports contactless payments and identity for dorms, dining halls, libraries and campus events via iOS smartphones or watches.
Johns Hopkins, Santa Clara and Temple University are expected to add support by the end of the year.

Married to Alipay
While
Alipay is offering digital copies of Chinese marriage certificates, a service that ties the mobile payment app, its huge user base and credential records, to services that require marriage records and also feature money transfers — such as mortgage applications, property transfers and inheritance records, reports
The paper also reports the move is part of Alipay's participation in a government-backed facial identity program that will automate the filing of legal documents and tie scheduling of marriage ceremonies to the payments app.

Crypto mining company Bitmain has upped its game in cryptocurrency payments by acquiring Telescope, a Bitcoin Cash wallet.
Telescope launched earlier this year, and operates on Google Chrome and Firefox, with plans to add more platforms after the deal,
The wallet stores cryptographic keys that match the user's browsers to payments, providing security similar to conventional digital wallets.
