The upcoming Apple Watch, which does not have a built-in fingerprint reader for Touch ID authentication, will use a four-digit passcode to engage Apple Pay for mobile payments.
Details about how Apple Watch will operate were revealed through an unreleased Apple Watch app, according to the tech news site
A user can make Apple Pay payments through the Apple Watch only by entering the code after the watch is put on. If the passcode is changed or deleted, the user would have to re-enter all Apple Pay credit cards, the site reported.
Apple Watch owners have the option to automatically remove all data if someone tries incorrectly to enter a passcode 10 times.
