Aptys Enhances Its Processing Platform’s ACH Functionality

Aptys Solutions has enhanced the automated clearinghouse functionality of its PayLogics processing platform by adding its Active Archive service, the company reported March 7.

Active Archive combines all electronic payment types, including image cash letter, ACH and wired funds transfers, into a single archive to provide financial institutions a view of all customer payment activity, Rockwell, Texas-based Aptys noted in a news release. Image cash letters are used to transport check transaction data, including check images exchanged between organizations and systems, so the check can clear electronically.

The company in February added ACH functionality to its PayLogics platform (see story).

A financial institution may link transactions converted from check to ACH via NACHA’s Deposited Check Truncation Pilot to its database to better monitor risk, analyze payment trends and combat fraud, according to Aptys.

The pilot launched in August and enables financial institutions to settle consumer checks worth up to $50 over the ACH network. Participating banks may choose to raise the limit to $250 (see story).
