Turns out that ATM actually was a cash machine for a lucky member of CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union in Alexandria, Va., who withdrew $40. He also won the $10,000 grand prize Big Money Madness sweepstakes just by using an Allpoint Network ATM deployed at a 7-Eleven store in Washington, D.C. in December.

Allpoint, a unit of Cardtronics Inc., and 7-Eleven Inc. sponsored the contest for eligible Allpoint institutions.
To qualify to win, cardholders had make a surcharge-free ATM cash withdrawal at any of the more than 1,500 participating ATMs in 7-Eleven stores throughout Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C., from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31.
