BancorpSouth Inc. in Tupelo, Miss., has selected Total System Services Inc. to process its debit card and consumer and commercial credit cards.

TSYS, based in Columbus, Ga., said Jan. 19 that a conversion is scheduled for early this year. TSYS also will support card and statement production and fraud prevention services.
The financial terms of the long-term agreement were not disclosed.
The $13 billion-asset BancorpSouth provides traditional retail banking in addition to credit card, mortgage, investment, insurance, trust and fiduciary services.
