BlueSnap Expands Payment Methods in Brazil, Russia, India, China

Online payment provider BlueSnap has expanded its local payment methods for merchants selling wares in Brazil, Russia, India and China.

In Brazil, BlueSnap now routes payment methods through a local acquiring bank, which was unnamed in the company's April 7 press release. BlueSnap also supports the online payment platform Boleto Bancario in Brazil. In China, BlueSnap supports the popular payment method Alipay. In Russia and India, BlueSnap supports major credit cards like Visa, MasterCard and American Express as well as alternative payment methods such as PayPal, Skrill and cashU. It also offers vouchers such as Ukash in Russia.

"Consumers around the world want to pay for goods using the methods they know and trust," Ralph Dangelmaier, chief executive of BlueSnap, says in the release. In Brazil, Russia, India and China, "we are giving global sellers a competitive edge by stacking their checkout pages with the payment options their customers want to see."
