Gift card provider ideaEdge Inc. says it will ask its shareholders to approve changing the company's name to Socialwise Inc. to reflect its strategy of selling gifts on social networking Web sites.

Banco Popular says it is providing a card-design service using card-customization technology from Serverside Group, a provider of digital card-design software.

The Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council today released Version 1.2 of the Payments Card Industry Data Security Standard. The updated version does not include major new changes and instead clarifies requirements in Version 1.1 (CardLine, 8/19).

Global Payments Inc., a transaction processor, says it has signed up nine casinos for its payment services: The Casino Queen in East St. Louis, Ill.; San Pablo Casino in San Pablo, Calif.; and seven Oneida Casino locations in Wisconsin.
