Capital Bank of Rockville, Md., said it chose Fiserv's Premier core, as well as the vendor's credit card management, electronic bill pay, person-to-person payments and other services.
Capital Bank previously handled processing services through a vendor that licensed Fiserv's Premier platform. The bank has now chosen to use Premier directly and to outsource its processing to a Fiserv service center, the Brookfield, Wis., vendor said July 2.
The bank is also using Fiserv's card management, online banking, mobile banking, account-opening, bill payment and person-to-person payment systems.
"Capital Bank sought a technology provider that recognized how our world is changing, and could provide us with the tools to help expand our customer base beyond our geographic location," said Filip Feller, chief financial officer of Capital Bank, in a press release.
The bank plans to integrate its credit card management system with the Premier core, which should improving efficiency and internal controls, Fiserv says.
